Certificate III in Hospitality builds on your Certificate II in Hospitality skills by training you for employment in a supervisor or team leader role. The course gives you the skills to work closely with colleagues and customers, develop and update your hospitality knowledge, promote products and services to customers and deal with conflict situations. This Certificate is a pre-requisite for further hospitality studies including the
Certificate IV in Hospitality, and
Diploma of Hospitality and
Advanced Diploma of Hospitality.

This course is conducted in a classroom and if required in a practical environment. The training includes; demonstrations, practical activities, classroom instructions, group work, projects, workshops and computer based tasks.
Description
The Certificate III in Hospitality program will qualify you to undertake a range of operational activities within the Hospitality industry. The course will also equip you with a broad range of operational skills and knowledge that you will be able to use when carrying out such responsibilities as providing technical advice and support to a team and acting as a team/shift leader.

Assessment
To receive the qualification, participants are required to successfully complete all units of competency. A qualification will be issued, based on the successful assessments of all units of competency.
Entry Requirements
Participants must be able to read and write documents and understand maths concepts to a level required to complete Year 10. If participants are entering this program as an apprentice or a trainee under the Australian Apprenticeships arrangements, they must be employed in the industry and must register at an Australian Apprenticeships Centre (AAC) prior to enrolment.
If you are a resident of Victoria and an Australian citizen or Permanent resident, you may be eligible for a subsidised place under the Victorian Training Guarantee. For eligible individuals, this training is delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth Government Funding.
